2008 President's Dinner, AGM & Chamber Board Auction

The 2008 President's Dinner, AGM & Chamber Board Auction was held Wednesday February 27, 2008.

Winter is coming to a close and so begins the countdown to golfing season! Wade is inviting two people to join him for a day of golfing at the Leckie & Associates Charity Golf Tournament held in August 2008 (date to be announced). This is always a popular and well-attended community event with lots of door prizes to be won. Wade will also be providing golfing gifts, picking up the tab for any refreshments (alcoholic or non, your choice!), and free accounting and/or tax advice only available on the back nine. A delicious charbroiled steak dinner wraps up the day with an opportunity to win a coveted Leckie golf tournament prize. This is a great way for you and a buddy to spend a relaxing summer day while sharpening up your golf skills at the same time!

Stephanie will then accompany Aaron as they pick you up and chauffeur you to lunch courtesy of Stephanie at KC’s Steakhouse, then it’s back to work again and home once the working day is done!

Each year Onion Lake First Nation holds a very large Pow Wow on the third weekend in July at their Heritage Park. This event attracts up to 40,000 individuals worldwide! The pageantry is magnificent and the dancers and singers are world-class. Florence offers the chance for a couple to take part in the Grand Entry that kicks off the event. You will be one of the VIP’s entering with the Onion Lake Chief and Council, Government officials, other Nation Chiefs, and the red-coated RCMP. The Grand Chief has also been known to attend. Following the Grand Entry to the Arbor, you will have the opportunity to tour the many displays and exhibits, experiencing First Nation cultures from many nations across the continent.
