About this Award - EARN – Employee Attraction & Retention Network

Alberta Employment and Immigration (AE&I) has partnered with Community Futures Lloydminster and Region, and West Harvest Inn to host the Employee Attraction and Retention Network (EARN). These monthly morning meetings provide business owners, managers and HR representatives an opportunity to share best practices, ideas and HR strategies. Besides providing an opportunity to network and share information, EARN offers a vast range of valuable information including monthly labour market information and what it means to our community, international and local guest speakers, and breakfast – all free of charge. Many members have said that the network contributes to their business’s success.

EARN HR Award of Excellence - Each month the Employee Attraction and Retention Network awards a nominated business with the HR Award of Excellence at the morning meeting.

The members are provided with a speech on the HR successes within the business. Along with bragging rights that come with the award, the recipient receives an exclusive trophy to display at their business along with a copy of the speech and acknowledgement in the local newspaper.

The HR awards began in June 2010, with the first member award being awarded to Fountain Tire. September’s award was received by both the Chamber of Commerce and Home Depot.
