For over 10 years the Chamber of Commerce, under contract with Alberta Tourism, Parks & Recreation, has managed the Travel Alberta Centre, located on highway 16 east of the railway overpass. This arrangement has served to enable the Chamber to better promote the local region while at the same time welcoming visitors to Alberta and promoting the exceptional attractions and events in our province of Alberta.
The Chamber hires four summer students to operate the centre from May long week-end to Sept long week-end. The students begin with training in Edmonton in early June, and continue the training with Familiarization tours throughout the region. There are a limited number of kiosks available for rent where you can promote your tourism related event or attraction. Call the Chamber office 780-875-9013 for more details.
