Business Week Awards History

The celebration of Small Business Week is held right across the country and Lloydminster Chamber of Commerce sets aside a week to celebrate the business successes in our community. The Chamber is pleased to recognize success in business by presenting Business Week awards.

In 1993 the first 'Business of the Year' award was presented.

In 1998 the 'Rookie Business of the Year' award was added.

In 2000 more awards were added and they include:

Customer Service Award
Community Involvement Award
Non-Profit of the Year Award
City Ambassador Award

In 2001 the Rotary Club began a partnership with the Chamber to offer the 'Integrity Award'.

In 2002 the 'Small Business of the Year Award' was added.

In 2003 the 'Downtown Business of the Year Award' was added, sponsored by The Streetscapes Co.

In 2009 the 'Donna Moore Memorial Community Spirit Award' was added and is sponsored by the Staff of the Lloydminster Chamber for Commerce.

Each award is sponsored by a community business or organization and a committee of the Chamber Board reviews the nominations and has the difficult task of selecting the recipients in each category.
