Streetscapes is now accepting nominations for the 2011 Downtown Pride Awards!
Nominations will be accepted in four categories:
Indoor Renovation, Outdoor Renovation, Seasonal or Theme Display and New Building/Addition

Everyone who submits an nomination will be entered in a draw for $100 Streetscapes Co. Gift Cards. Every award recipient will also receive $100 Streetscapes Co. Gift Cards. Self nominations are also welcome.

Anyone wishing to promote their business at the Travel Alberta Visitor Centre this year, we still have some kiosk display space available for the summer. This space is available to rent on a weekly or monthly basis.

DEADLINE - CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SCHOLARSHIP
The chamber of Commerce is currently taking applications for the J.A. McLean Scholarship and the Dunstan Scholarship.

These scholarships are presented annually to a grade 12 graduate who is enrolled in a diploma course or degree program in agriculture, veterinary medicine, or a related agricultural field of study. Deadline for applications is USUALLY May 31st of each year

Policy Development Round Table - You are always invited to participate in this important work of your Chamber. This event is usually in January of each year at the Community Services Centre (4419-52 Ave) and a luncheon - The advocacy work that the Chamber does on behalf of it’s members is some of the most important work that the Chamber does. Each year, members are invited to participate with the Board of Directors to determine the policy direction for the year. Local resolutions are taken to the City of Lloydminster, Provincial Issues are presented at the Alberta & Saskatchewan Chambers AGM in May, and federal issues are presented through the Canadian Chamber in September. The Lloydminster Chamber has authored and taken forward many policy resolutions that have seen changes made in legislation or actions at all levels of government.
