July 7, 2010 - Travel Alberta Centre - Hwy 16 East
Mixer attendees get a beautiful day
Mixer attendees at the July 7th Mixer were greeted with great weather, prizes, and a delicious lunch sponsored by Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation.
This warm and sunny mixer was held at the Travel Alberta Visitor Information Centre just East of the overpass on Highway 16. Guests enjoyed networking, heard Chamber and community updates, and were introduced to the Travel Alberta Travel Counselors: Danielle Meunier (Site Supervisor), Chelsey Harper, Angie Giesbrecht, and Samantha Handke. For the past 10 years, the Chamber has contracted with the Government of Alberta, Tourism Division, to manage this Travel Alberta Centre. This has been a good partnership both for Travel Alberta and for the community. The Chamber is able to provide supervision and support at the local level and many of the Travel Counselors have been local students as well. The Visitor Information Centre has been open since May 21st.
Prizes at the mixer included passes and gifts from the following
attractions: Rolling Green Golf Course, Stettler Train Tour, Stawnichy's Meat Processing in Mundare, Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village, Barr Colony Heritage Cultural Centre, Reynolds Alberta Museum and Nothing Barred Ranch.
The winner of the Stettler Train Tour grand prize passes was Michele Duczek of the Lloydminster Public Library. The 50/50 draw winnings went to Pab Chetty of Chetty Law Office.
