November 12, 2008 - Tourism in Youth Program Display of their Gourmet Talents

The mixer was held at Knox Presbyterian Church and was hosted by the Saskatchewan Tourism Education Council in conjunction with the Chamber.

Lakeland College presented the Tourism for Youth program as hosts for this mixer. The students of this program cooked up specialty gourmet hors d' oeuvres and specialty non alcholic drinks and served them. During their classroom instruction, the students learn cooking, serving, and food presentation under a professional chef and frequently they feature their cooking/serving talents hosting luncheons such as at this mixer on November 12. Those who attended savoured their tantalizing treats and wonderful service!

Chamber members who are in the restaurant and/or hospitality business were especially encouraged to attend and meet these talented individuals as future job prospects.
