November 18, 2009 - Common Wealth Centre
The After Hours Mixer was held at the Common Wealth Centre on the 2nd level and was sponsored by Saskatchewan Tourism Education Council held in cooperation with Lakeland College. Chamber President Peggy Bosch and Chamber Director Wayde Blythe were our Mistress and Master of Ceremonies for this event. Dr. Lynda Haverstock, President and CEO of Saskatchewan Tourism, was in attendance and she extended a welcome on behalf of the STEC and expounded on this Tourism Ready to Work Program which is in Lloydminster at Lakeland College.
The turnout was wonderful for this mixer. The food that was served was delicious! and the service was exceptional. Students from the Tourism Ready to Work Program put on a great display of their talents. They have all been trained by a professional chef for careers in the restaurant and catering fields.
There were many door prizes and a 50/50 draw with an extra grand prize draw for two tickets to Neil Simon's "The Odd Couple" dinner theatre, playing November 28th at the Vic Juba Community Theatre!
