ANNUAL POLICY DEBATE |

Some of the most important work that Chambers of Commerce do involves being a strong advocate for the community and in particular the business community. Almost everything that happens in a community from health care, education, infrastructure, taxation and community development affects a business's ability to grow and prosper. "Strong and healthy businesses make for strong and healthy communities." The Political Action Committee of the Chamber of Commerce, along with President Glenn Fagnan, invite Chamber members to participate in the annual policy debate which will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008 at 11:30am in the Workshop Room of the Community Services Centre. Some of the topics up for debate include: Public Transportation Trade, Investment & Labour Mobility Traffic Congestion on Highway 17 . Lunch will be provided so it is important to call the Chamber office to register prior to Feb. 6th at 875-9013. |
