COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROJECT

The opinions of business owners are of great importance to this study as it will help to shape programs and initiatives within the Lloydminster area.

Ipsos Reid has been commissioned to conduct a Community Engagement Project with citizens and local businesses in Lloydminster.  Ipsos Reid has been in the business of public opinion polling for over 30 years.

The purpose of the survey is to better understand perceptions and attitudes with regards to some key issues facing citizens and the business community.  A total of 100 businesses in Lloydminster will be selected at random to participate in a telephone survey.

Ipsos Reid will be calling Lloydminster businesses between April 1 and April 8, 2008 and should your business be randomly selected, the community would appreciate your participation.

Lloydminster is indeed fortunate to have Steve Sweet and Tom Thomson, Disney Institute facilitators in Lloydminster to lead the “Keys to Excellence” seminars April 2 & 3.  There is still room to register on either day and only one day left to do so.  Don’t miss out on this opportunity!

Steve Sweet, a member of the Florida Bar Association, left that profession to pursue his life long passion for a very different career, as an Entertainer. He began his career as a member of the prestigious a-capella singing group, The Voices of Liberty. Steve’s organizational and leadership skills soon led to his promotion to the role of group leader and front-man. He has served as Manager of Entertainment Operations for the Magic Kingdom.  With a Bachelor of Arts marketing degree from University of Florida and a Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law, Steve Sweet has been A Disney Cast member for 20 years.

Tom Thomson began his career with Disney in merchandise earning numerous awards for sales volume and team productivity. Tom managed some of the busiest merchandise locations at Walt Disney World, ultimately serving as one of a small handful of Area Managers responsible for a team of 475 at the World of Disney Story, the highest volume Disney store on earth!  Prior to Disney, Tom worked as a television sports journalist and covered major league baseball along with NASCAR and university athletics. With a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Communications from the University of Kansas and currently pursuing a Masters of Business Administration degree, Tom has been a Disney Cast Member for 12 years.
