What would the future look like for your company, if you were to get an Extreme Technology MakeOver and budget was not an issue? Now is the time to find out! Horizon, along with the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce have partnered to bring you the Extreme Technology MakeOver. A unique chance for Saskatchewan-based organizations to obtain a technology makeover at zero cost to the winner, and worth up to $50,000. The contest is open to business or non-profit organizations of between 1-99 people based in Saskatchewan. The finalist will receive a complete technology assessment by Horizon and SaskTel, which will serve to develop a strategic plan to overhaul the winning firm’s IT infrastructure. Our contest partners will provide the equipment and Horizon will offer the IT integration services. The Lloydminster Drug Strategy has teamed up with the Lloydminster Community Youth Centre to bring Heather Charlton to Lloydminster. Heather brings her personal message about her life and the difficulties she has incurred due to substance use. Her message to youth and families is not to take away the fun of being a teenager; rather, she focuses on the decisions we make, and how a misguided choice around substance use can have significant consequences. Heather will be at four local schools during her time in Lloydminster as well as provide a session for parents and community members on Thursday February 9th; 7:00 at the Lloydminster Legacy Centre. People should contact the Community Youth Centre at 306-825-3113 to register for the community session, as there is limited seating. |

Connect Luncheon is a noon hour networking mixer that will take place on the fourth Thursday of the month between 12:00 and 1:00pm. This event will follow the same low key format of our current Chamber Connect mixers, but at a different time and day of the week. We are currently looking for businesses and organizations that may be interested in hosting one of these events. Please contact the Chamber if your business would like to host.
