VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION DAY |

We The Chamber is proud to be part of the 1st Annual Volunteer Appreciation Open House put on by the Community Services Centre Tennants. The Open House will be a come-and-go style cake and coffee and will take place Tuesday April 29th at the Community Services Centre (located at 4419-52 Ave) from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. There will be a media picture taken at 2:30pm. Chamber of Commerce Volunteers, please consider this your invitation to attend. We look forward to seeing you there! A huge thank you to the Lloydminster & District Co-op Marketplace for the donation of the cake. |

CHAMBER GOLF TOURNAMENT |

It's that time of year again! That's right, golfing season is fast approaching and with it comes the annual Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament! This year 's tournament will be held on Tuesday, May 27th. . We are now accepting registrations for full teams of four, partial teams, and/or individual registrations. . Early Bird registration begins now until May 9th with fees of $110(+gst) per golfer. After the May 9th deadline, fees increase to $125(+gst). We are also looking for businesses who are interested in becoming golf cart sponsors for the event. . Cart Sponsorship entails the following: - Signage on one (or more) of the golf carts - Company name on the cart sponsor poster displayed at the event -Company name mention on the Chamber website . Our title sponsor, Tim Dyck Financial, will be accepting small marketing items by interested businesses to fill gift bags that will be handed out to golfers. . |

WORKSHOP |

Lloydminster Community Futures in partnership with Alberta Hub, Northern Alberta Development Council, Alberta Employment & Immigration, and Alberta Finance & Enterprise, will be holding a workshop titled "Doing More With Less". This four-hour workshop will expose participants to the Principles of Lean through hands-on, interactive, and simple simulations of both traditional and lean processes for manufacturing, office or service oriented operations. ADVERTISING OPPORTUNITY |
|
Local businesses and organizations have the opportunity to rent exclusive use of a "showcase" kiosk in the Travel Alberta Visitor Information Centre. Promote your organization, business attraction or event, through the display of posters, pictures, and pamphlets. The showcase is situated in a high visibility location within the Centre that reaches hundreds of visitors each week beginning the May long weekend through to the September long weekend. Exhibitors are responsible for all display material and the set-up and take-down of their display. The TAVIC staff will provide maintenance throughout the season. COMMUNITY BULLETIN BOARDS |

We have had a complaint regarding the community bulletin boards: A local organization had posted an event announcement over top of an existing event announcement from another organization, thus blocking the information completely. We are asking everyone to please be considerate when posting events/announcements and take care not to cover other postings whenever possible. |
